Meet Our Team
Our team of water quality professionals are in close contact with the agricultural community. We have close ties with local Farm Bureaus, commodity groups, and individual growers. We work in each of the Central Coast Counties, spanning Monterey, Northern San Luis Obispo, San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Mateo. We provide:
- Local knowledge of water quality issues and regulations
- Access to farm water quality educational credit opportunities
- Links to local partners offering water quality improvement programs
- Site visits with growers to review farm water quality management practices
- Sources of technical and financial assistance
- Grower outreach for meetings, field workshops, and conferences

Kay has been working with agricultural water quality issues on the Central Coast for the past five years. She has more than 15 years of experience working with production agriculture throughout California and the U.S. She has 11 years experience in technical sales, marketing and development with Shell/DuPont and BASF on the Central Coast. She worked for an environmental remediation consulting firm and laboratory on the Texas Gulf Coast for three years. She has a creative streak and owned her own faux painting business while in Houston.
She has a B.S. in Agronomy/Range Management and a M.S. in Agronomy/Weed Science from Oklahoma State University. Kay attended Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco.

Chris has worked with growers in the Pajaro and Elkhorn Slough watershed since 2005. Current projects include water use efficiency projects with ten growers in Santa Clara County, IPM education and outreach, organic farming education and outreach, and assisting growers with vegetated conservation practices and Farm Water Quality Planning.

Since 1999, Traci has worked in the Pajaro and Salinas watersheds to facilitate watershed groups, provide one-on-one, farm level information and water quality education and represent agricultural interests on a variety of water related efforts such as TMDLs and the Ag Waiver. She is currently developing Management Measures Document for the vegetable industry.

Cressida has experience in IPM research with UC Davis, pesticide use trends and coordination of statewide invasive species projects. She is working on development of pesticide mitigation tools, development of slow release fertilizer programs for strawberry growers, development of Management Measures Document for the vegetable industry, and participation in the Santa Maria watershed TMDL process.

Dina is on loan from Monterey County RCD where she helped landowners with water quality management practices through the Livestock and Land Program. She is assisting with preparation for and outreach to the Cattlemen's Associations regarding water quality issues, updating and organizing the Rangeland Water Quality educational module, and assisting with updating the "Benefits of Grazing" document.

Kathleen has twelve years experience as a project manager, grant writer evaluation and outreach specialist. As project manager for the ARRA grant, she is responsible for invoicing and reporting, coordinating the project's Technical Advisory Committee and program outreach elements.
